Winter... by Deyran Winter... by Deyran
... Begone!!!! BEGONE DAMNIT!!! :rage:
Seriously guys, it's been snowing almost nonstop for three days now, there is so much of this stuff around, you wouldn't believe it! I nearly broke my neck on the way to uni this morning and I'm so sick of clearing this whole stuff off the road infront of my entrance!! I wanna have spring already!
... My cat isn't enjoying the weather either... He hates snow and when he was sitting there, on the windowsill, half covered in snow, he looked so adorably unhappy, I couldn't help but honour that moment somehow. (the little craze wanted to go outside, it was his own idea!)

Awwww, the poor thing! (Even if it was his own fault. ^_^) We've actually had an abnormally warm winter here; no snow at all. I sort of miss it - maybe we could have some of yours? Anyway, this is a really nice little piece. I love the wood frame; it works great here, and his fur looks realistic and fluffy. And his expression is just perfect! I also like that you remembered to add the little eyebrow whiskers; lots of people forget those. Great work.

Oh, you can have all of it, be my guest! It's actually gotten a tad warmer recently, but really, the snow's still too muh for my liking...
 Thank you! I'm glad you like it! The frame sort of came to my mynd at a total random and I had the image of my can sitting there, on the windowsill, as the incarnation of suffering innocence so I had a pretty good idea for the expression. And yeah, many people tend to forget about those eyebrow-whiskers, while they play a very important role for the cat, being able tos ense vibrations and stuff like that.
Thank you

It looks like we aren't going to have any snow at all this year (although usually I just like snow around Christmastime. ^_^) Heh, and cats are always like that; they get themselves into trouble and then they look so wounded and innocent about it... *why?!* It true though, they need all those little face whiskers for balance and moving through tight spaces.

You're welcome. ^_^

Heh, lucky you. Yeah, snow around christmas is okay I guess, but when you have to spend ages and ages everyday shipping this stuff out of your driveway, then fun's over.
And they get into the most ridiculous of situations too! My neighbour's got a mechanic workshop and once nearly killed his cat which somehow got into the engine compartment of his car and decided to take a nap. How it got in there was weird, but getting it back out was just plain freaky. The critter wouldn't react to begging, threats or even bribery. It seemed like it was stuck in there helplessly. And when the guy got his tools to remove some parts to be able to access the damn animal, it was sitting right there, infront of his car, giving him a superior look of evil joy. Really, only a cat can get away with that.

Ja też :rage: A jeszcze bardziej- odśnieżanie!

:lmao: that's adorable! Is that your poor cat freezing to death :XD: I love the expression, it's adorable at the same time as comic, poor little guy, and those icicles on the whiskers are great! While you still have winter I think winter is leaving for us, it's hot outside but freezing in the damned house!

Glad you liked it! Yes, that's my little monster. :XD: First, he wanted to go outside and was all psyched up, jumping around, trying to catch the snowflakes in the air... Then he dissappeared for two hours and randomly popped up on the windowsill, half frozen, miserable and shaking... And so adorable, I felt like melting away on the spot!
... Lucky you... Im standing knee-deep in snow and freezing my butt of... But hopefully not for too long... Last year we had snow untill mid-april, it was horrible! :crying:

Isn't that typical of cats, they kill you to get what they want, then when they get it, they don't want it anymore! "You wanted to go out, now you damned well stay out!" Aww but who could resist their patheticness?
At least you have snow! I only ever saw it twice in my life, all we get here is rain and sandstorms (sometimes freak hail) nothing remotely snow-like

Heh, though I guess that's part of what we love about them. Their pompousenss and sense of superiority are just adorable! ... It's a way of mind-control, I' believe.
Ooh, and I've never seen a real sandstorm. I kinda imagine it to be pretty scary to suddenly be surrounded by a wall of sand and dust.

I think we appreciate their sense of pride and cats usually symbolise it don't they? Humans wouldn't associate them with it if they didn't admire that trait in them.
It can be yes, if they come suddenly because the winds come strong. That happened one night and my dad opened the front door and the entire place was just dusty winds like a wall. The allergies and dirt is worse though!
Deyran Featured By Owner May 25, 2012
Yup, that adoration of their sense of pride can be seen throughout history. The Egyptian goddess Bastet is a perfect example of that.
Oh, right allergies in such areas must really be a pain. As would cleaning up the house after such a sandstorm invasion be.
