Searching for the ripest fruit by Deyran Searching for the ripest fruit by Deyran
Hi there! =D
Speedpainted this last evening after a particularly exhausting day. Drawing is really the perfect way to lift your spirits after a bad day. I feel much better now =D
Just wanted to draw something that includes two things I like: dragons and tangerines. So this great vyvern spend the whole day searching for the ripest, sweetest tangerines in the area, but saved the best for the very end. Yum :hungry:
Surprisingly, I'm not dead yet, I just didn't have the time for anything lately. Then, after some time, I opened my inbox and was overwhelmed with the amount of awesome art. that popped up during my absence. Wow. It's gonna take me some time to get through all this. You guys rock.

I love it -great job!

How have you been by the way? I've been on hiatus for a while and I've been way out of touch with people...

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

I've been fine, if somewhat busy with work- health- and life-issues. I've had a lovely summer, though! Sun

And how have you been? =D (Big Grin)

You're welcome! I understand; I've been super busy lately with work and things. Heh, and I spend a lot of energy worrying and fussing over things, so there isn't always as much leftover for art as I would like! Overall I've been doing pretty well though - my husband and I both have jobs, at least, so can't really complain, and things are going (mostly) smoothly for the moment.

How about you, how have things been?

*And the entire orchard too*nomnom**

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I'm happy with it, given that it was just a speedpaint. If I actually had time and tried to make it nice and detailed, it'd drive me crazy. Do you get that too, sometimes, this weird complulsion to make everything as neat and detailed as possible?

That's a powerful type of hunger!

Wow, that's a speedpaint, I have no speedpaints, they all take forever. Yes I do! But then the Lazy takes over and I decide that in order to save my sanity I need to not detail things so much!

That's the occasional fruit of my insomnia. I have to try and be quick, before the lemon balm tea kicks in and I go out like a light (have been laying off of the sleeping pills lately, not fun =_= ).

Yup, i can relate. Going down that road is the first step towards outright madness (just this last pixellll!!!!!!)

Wow does that actually work? Tea I mean? I should try that, even though I have no trouble sleeping, it just takes me ages to fall asleep.
They say that you shouldn't go on the computer before going to bed, because it makes your brain active and takes ages for it to relax

Lol, those were the last words of many a sane artist before they went crazy

Hm, as far as I know, lemon balm reduces your heart rate a little, acts as a natural vasodilator and lowers thus your blood pressure. Basically, it's the exact opposite of coffee =D. Great when your stressed, or got stomachache, or can't sleep.

True, but I'm basically working on the computer all day, so there's not much I can do about it most of the time...

Lol, indeed!

So it acts like a relaxant then

I guess...except maybe not to go on it an hour before?
